Abandon Vehicle, Noise Violation And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 Hang up, abandon vehicle, two alarms, credit card fraud, disturbance, two disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, harassing phone call, noise violation, suspicious activity, two suspicious person, theft from a motor vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 46 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 1st
Public Drunk, Warrant Served, Possession of schedule 2 drug
2 Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, alarm, animal complaint, residential burglary, disturbance, petit larceny, two harassments, four service calls, three suspicious activities, vandalism, three welfare concerns, transport, two information, traffic complaint, two civil matters.

Contempt Warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
Resident accidentally activated a smoke detector at 703 Faulkner Woods Place.
Sanding floors activated a smoke detector at 3612 Lyles Drive.
Pool bathroom area fire alarm pull station had been activated in the Turner Center.
Security had the alarm rest upon arrival at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Construction brush pile on fire —FD extinguished the fire at Park West Loop
Carbon monoxide batteries are bad at 303 Fazio.
University Police: Two motor vehicle accidents, moving violation, two service calls for a ambulance, vehicle stops, speeding, assist with traffic.
