False Pretense, Suspicious Vehicle And More In Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, four alarms, two burglary—forced entry, two careless driving, disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, false pretense, harassing phone calls, two improper parking, larceny, lost property, malicious mischief, motorist assist, noise violations, simple assault, two suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, three suspicious activity, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 14 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

MIP, Expired Tag
Public drunk
Public drunk, malicious mischief
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, simple assault, two alarms, two animal complaints, auto burglary, disturbance, two petit larceny, harassment, seven service calls, four suspicious activities, vandalism, two transports, follow up, fraud, two civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests
possession of controlled substance, disorderly conduct
Oxford Fire Department: 
Public assistance 1405 East Jackson Ave.
Working on alarm and testing the system at the Student Union.
Third floor smoke detector malfunction at Martingale Hall.
Smoke detector beeping—low battery at 139 Peyton Circle
Heavy spray of air freshener activated a smoke detector at Hefley Hall.
A resident pulled a fire alarm pull station at the State Veterans Home.

University Police: Accident Hit n Run, three vehicle stop, accident property damage, disorderly conduct.
