Charles Robert Bruce, otherwise known as the Ole Miss “pom pom man”, has passed away at the age of 76, according to an obituary from Lakewood Funeral Home. Bruce could be found in the stands at many Ole Miss basketball games and several other Rebel sporting events waving his pom poms during timeouts to the tune of the band. Arrangements have not yet been made.
Ole Miss athletics posted the following message to honor one of their most passionate fans.
