Matt Reardon has continued to make headlines after his May 1 arrest for disorderly conduct. He was arrested later in May for aggravated stalking and was placed in the Lafayette County Detention Center. Thursday, Reardon pleaded guilty to the aggravated stalking charge and now faces five years of probation and must leave Lafayette County during that time period.
Reardon was also ordered by the court to hand over any firearms and has lost the right to carry a gun. After his first arrest, Reardon made threats to sue the city of Oxford for violating his first amendment rights. He continued to voice his opinion on social media before his account was suspended.
Before being arrested for the stalking charges, Reardon continued to garner support from his social media followers and demonstrated publicly. He was present at an Oxford Board of Aldermen meeting before his arrest, at which he continued to disrupt the meeting and shouted at the members of the board after being told to stop.

As a part of Reardon’s guilty plea for the aggravated stalking charge, the original disorderly conduct charge will be dismissed. If Reardon violates the terms of probation, which includes returning to Lafayette County, he would likely be sent to prison for the remainder his sentence.
