Forgery, Shoplifting And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls:Five alarms, two animal complaints, building code violation, careless driving, two civil matters, two disturbing the peace, forgery, five lost property, two noise violations, residential burglary with aggravated assault, shoplifting, two suspicious activity, suspicious vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, issued 22 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Simple assault
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, two animal complaints, three disturbances, juvenile complaint, six service calls, suspicious activity, welfare concern, four transports, trespassing, information, two follow up, reckless driving, two civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests
No driver’s license, no insurance
Oxford Fire Department:
Subject sitting in a truck needed medical attention performed basic first aid until ambulance arrived at the University Physical Plant.
Wreck with entrapment call— rescue cancelled at Hwy. 315.
Elevator smoke detector malfunction at 800 College Hill Road building 1.
Club house fire and dry system water flow alarm— alarm company testing the alarm system at the Retreat.
First floor smoke detector malfunction at the North Residential College.
University Police: Suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, ambulance needed, vehicle stop, two assist with traffic.
