Amanda Reed

Amanda Reed grew up singing in West Monroe, La where she was born & raised. She ended up taking a long break from recording after getting married. She took that time to focus on being a mom. Reed felt led to start recording again in 2014. Her faith & life experiences are guiding her way as she released her 4th song on iTunes May 25th.
“This is a season in my life that even though life is just as busy, God has shown me that this is the season for me to reconnect with my music. You may have to stop something for a season, but it doesn’t have to mean that you stop it forever,” Reed said.
Reed has released two country songs and “Way Life Truth” marks her second worship single. The latest single is devoted to sharing the role that God has played in her life, and how he impacts others. Her favorite lyrics of the song speak of God’s caring nature in times of despair.

“‘Bottle each tear, draw me near’ I love how the Bible talks about how God bottles each tear because it reminds us that God grieves with us when we are going through pain or heartache. He truly cares, and he sees every tear we shed,” Reed said.
Reed wants to share positivity, and inspiration through her lyrics and knows how music can affect those going through any multitude of situations.
“The heart behind my music is to encourage people,” Reed said. “I’m so passionate about sharing those positive messages through my music because music can really determine how you feel. When you listen to certain songs, it changes your mood and if you’re listening to something positive it’s going to help you have a positive outlook.”
Reed recorded her first song in 2014. The song titled “Thank You,” was written as a tribute to her husband Lance, owner of Chick Fil A in Oxford. Also in the song is a tribute to Lance’s mother, who Amanda never got the chance to meet. She wanted the song to inspire parents to continue to play a role in their children’s lives and be positive influences on them.
Her second single titled “Story” was aimed at pointing out that everyone has struggles and heartache, but it’s about how you face them that makes you who you are.
Reed mentioned that her third song “You Fight For Me” was the most personal song she had written.
“That was my most personal song, I talk bout how we go through things that we may not be able to do much about, but we have to trust that God is fighting for us. Whether it’s illness or relationships, God will always be fighting for you, and we need to remember that.” Reed said.
All of Reed’s songs have been produced by Phil Baquie, who Reed credits for the final product.
“He does a great job; he’s so talented. He has truly helped my songs come to life, and I’m so thankful for what he is able to do.” Reed said.
All of Reed’s songs can be found on iTunes and are available for download. Reed hopes that her message can be spread to anyone searching for positivity through music.
“I feel like the messages are for such a wide range of people that any age group can find something in my songs to relate to and connect with in some way,” Reed said. “I’m excited to share the songs I’ve written from my heart with the community and whoever else will listen. I want them to bless people and inspire them.”
