Marshall Henderson's "Ole Hotty Toddy" Team Needs Fans Vote For "TBT" Tournament
Last year Marshall Henderson’s TMD squad fell short of qualifying for the round of 16 in the annual TBT tournament after losing in the semifinals of the Southern regional round. This year, Henderson is the GM of the “Ole Hotty Toddy” team and is looking for redemption.
The TBT began in 2014, and the 5-on-5 single elimination tournament has a grand prize of $2 million which is split between players, boosters, GMs and 10 percent even goes to top fans of the winning team. With 64 total teams vying for the top spot, the road for Ole Hotty Toddy is a long one. Nine teams are selected in each region by way of a popular vote, and six are chosen as “at-large” sections. “At-large” teams must have 100 fans, seven players and meet other eligibility requirements. One team also plays its way into the region in TBT jamboree.
As it stands right now, Ole Hotty Toddy is #11 in the popular vote for the Southern region, so to ensure their participation in the 2017 tournament, click here to vote!
Roster:
“We’re 9 guys who all played under Andy Kennedy at Ole Miss. Five of us were the core from the 2013 SEC Championship Rebels. Teaming up with 4 of the top individual players the school has seen, who all have had great success in the pro level, is a dream come true for not only the players, but the coaches and fans as well. We will be coached by Bill Armstrong, Coach Kennedy’s top assistant throughout all of our careers.”—Marshall Henderson, GM
*Note: Bill Armstrong recently left Ole Miss but it appears he will still coach in the TBT.
The Southern Regional begins on July 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Round 2 “Super 16” round begins in New York City on July 20, with the $2 million championship game on August 3.
