Rebels Named To SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

Ten Ole Miss student-athletes, including five from the Ole Miss women’s basketball team, were named to the 2016-17 Winter Academic Honor Roll announced on Wednesday by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. In total 701 SEC student-athletes were named to the honor roll.

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team led the way with five honorees including newly minted 1,000-point scorers, Shandricka Sessom and Erika Sisk. Jake Coddington represented the Ole Miss men’s hoops team.
Four members of the rifle team earned the honor led by senior Alison Weisz, who made her fourth consecutive NCAA championship appearance, and was named a second team All-American during her senior campaign. Other members of the rifle team to make the honor roll were Jessica Haig, Randi Loudin and Marina Noble.
The Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of basketball, equestrian, gymnastics and swimming & diving. It is based on grades from the 2016 spring, summer and fall terms.
