Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Six alarms, harassing phone call, utility call out, two animal complaints, petit larceny, four reported DUIs, 911 hang-up, two civil matters, two fire department assists, grand larceny, improper parking, two disturbing the peace, suspicious person, domestic (disturbance).
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 34 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
No Tag and Possession of a Schedule II Drug
Ran Stop Sign and Possession of a Fake ID (post arrest)
Speeding, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
Speeding and DUI
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (post arrest)
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, two alarms, two animal complaints, commercial burglary, two disturbances, domestic violence, petit larceny, malicious mischief, eight service calls, suspicious activity, welfare concerns, transport, civil matter, traffic complaint, follow-up.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made three arrests
two domestic violence / simple assault
writ to take custody
Oxford Fire Department: 
Shower steam activated a smoke detector at Pi Kappa Phi house.
Power outage activated the fire alarm system at Turnberry Condos Bldg. O
Power came back on and activated the fire alarm system at Turnberry Condos Bldg. O
Smoke detector chirping – resident installed battery incorrectly at 1014 Edinburg Place.
Upstairs smoke detector malfunction at 313 Ridgewood Manor Drive.

University Police: five vehicle stops, suspicious person, accident property damage, assist with traffic.
