Severe Weather Expected Across Southeast Throughout The Day

The Southern states are bracing for what could be a day filled with severe storms and possible tornados.

While it appears Mississippi will avoid most of the severe storms, our neighbors to the east may not be so fortunate. As many of our readers are from neighboring states, we wanted to help provide information about the weather in these areas. States such as Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and some areas of Kentucky will be the most affected, according to the radar. 
Flood warnings have been announced for the following counties in Mississippi: Leake, Neshoba, Clarke, Nowubee, Jones, Simpson, Lawrence, Marion, Madison/Rankin, Holmes, Attala, Hinds, Warren, Copiah, Hancock, George, Greene, Wayne, Perry, Jackson
If you have to drive anywhere for any reason, we urge to use your best judgment. Severe storms and tornado watches are expected to continue throughout the day and into the night.
