Chi Psi Fraternity To Dedicate New Lodge Sunday At UM
The day’s activities begin with registration at 10 a.m. at Paris-Yates Chapel, followed at 11 by a service of thanksgiving and dedication at 11. The ribbon cutting follows at 11:30 at the lodge, and tours will be available afterward.
“Chi Psi has had a proud tradition at Ole Miss, and this new lodge will be the centerpiece for the next chapter in our history,” said Murray Huber, Chi Psi at Ole Miss Class of 1979 and capital campaign co-chair for the new facility. “With more than 400 living alumni and a resurgent undergraduate membership, the time is right for our fraternity to build a first-class facility that will support our members and complement a growing Ole Miss campus.”
The new house includes:
Two-story, 12,400-square-foot building, with basement
Ten double-occupancy bedrooms, each with individual bathroom facilities
Full-sized kitchen and dining room with capacity for 85 members and guests
Dedicated library/study area
Housemother suite
Johnson Hall, a 1,065-square-foot chapter room for meetings and events, with guest bathrooms
First fraternity house on campus connected to the Ole Miss Wi-Fi Network
