After Tough Rookie Season, Treadwell's Work Ethic Catches Vikings' Attention

Laquon Treadwell was drafted 23rd overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2016 NFL Draft. Despite his devastating injury, Treadwell became one of the most successful receivers in Ole Miss history. However, his rookie season in the NFL was a different story. 
The 2015 Biletnikoff Award finalist struggled to find playing with the Vikings in his rookie season, catching just one pass for 15 yards. 
After being active in just nine games throughout the 2016 season, Treadwell is gearing up for what’s been called a “critical year” for Treadwell by Vikings’ OC Pat Shurmur. With a solid work ethic, Vikings’ general manager Rick Spielman likes what he’s seen from the 6’2 receiver this offseason. 
“He is maybe the hardest-working kid I’ve ever seen. He is so determined to be a good player, and he has the skill set to do it,” Spielman told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “He is going to be a good player with us. I do believe that in my heart.”
Rebel Nation watched as Treadwell compiled 202 catches for 2,393 yards and 21 TDs during his time at Ole Miss. So, I wouldn’t bet against Treadwell bouncing back in a big way in 2017.
