Former Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche has traded his shoulder pads for a microphone. The former Rebel standout has released a music video for his new song “Only Law” under the name Zenny Phantom.
Nkemdiche was scheduled to appear on Head 2 Head with Matt Wyatt and Richard Cross on SuperTalk Mississippi yesterday, but the interview didn’t go as planned. The interview was scheduled to take place at 4:20 p.m., and the hosts of the show were baffled as they heard nothing but Nkemdiche’s breath, as it appears he had fallen asleep with the phone to his ear.
Nkemdiche was scheduled to be on the program to promote his music and potentially open up about his playing career at Ole Miss, along with the troubles he faced in his final year with the Rebels. But I guess we’ll have to wait for that.
Nkemdiche took to Twitter to explain himself.

Psst – I think your word processor auto-corrected “swapped” to “shaped” in the first sentence. You’ll wanna fix that first chance you get. (Just delete this comment when you do.)
