Evan Engram and Chad Kelly Finish Up Senior Bowl Practice Ahead Of Saturday's Game

Evan Engram and Chad Kelly finished outstanding careers with the Rebels as the 2016 season concluded. They both spent this week in Mobile, Alabama for the 2017 Senior Bowl as they make their case to be selected in the upcoming NFL draft.
The annual showcase game is one of the most highly anticipated events for fans, scouts and NFL executives. The event gives players a chance to learn to operate in a pro-style offense before the combine, pro-days and the NFL combine. 
Engram has already impressed during his week of practice, showing his ability to produce explosive plays just as he did for the Rebels. 

Engram finished as the Rebels leader in receptions and yards by a tight end with 162 receptions for 2,320 yards. Engram is currently listed at the #4 tight end by walterfootball.com. 
Chad Kelly’s inability to play in Saturday’s game hasn’t stopped the spotlight from finding him. As he attempts to recover from a torn ACL, teams aren’t as worried about the injury as they are about his troubled past. 
Kelly came to the Rebels having been kicked off of Clemson’s team and then went on to spend a year at EMCC. An incident at a bar in his hometown landed Kelly in hot water once again before his arrival in Oxford. After a sit down with Coach Freeze, Kelly went on to have a prolific and incident free 2015 season, in which the Rebels won the Sugar Bowl. 
Since then Kelly had another incident at his brother’s high school football game when he ran onto the field after his brother took a late hit. Kelly isn’t shying away from his past as he continues to meet with teams at the Senior Bowl. 
“That’s the biggest thing. You’ve got to make sure you’re saying the right stuff to every team because they all speak to each other,” Kelly told ESPN. “You’ve got, to be honest, of course, but you’ve got to admit to what you did, and you’ve got to try to convince them that you’ve learned from those mistakes and that you’re not going to make them again.
Kelly is listed as the #8 QB by walterfootball.com, and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has said Kelly is a day-3 prospect. 
The 2017 Senior Bowl can be seen on NFL Network this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
