Daily Crime Report Reveals Ole Miss Students Are Back In Oxford
Oxford police responded to the following calls: five improper parking, four suspicious activity, residential burglary (2400 Block of Old Taylor Rd), three ambulance assist, nine disturbing the peace, four suspicious persons, malicious mischief, three reported DUI, two welfare concern, 14 alarms, three domestic disturbances, four civil matters, two burglary of a building (US HWY 278), five petit larceny, suspicious vehicle, shoplifting, animal complaint, scam and credit card fraud.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 71 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
One Headlight, Ran Stop Sign, Possession of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle and DUI
Open Container (post arrest citation)
Careless Driving, No Driving License and DUI
Disorderly Conduct – Failure to Comply and Public Drunk
4 Public Drunk
Ran Stop Sign, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
Failure to Yield Right of Way, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Schedule 2 Drug
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Expired Tag and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Fake ID (post arrest citation)
Disturbing the Peace, False Identifying Information and Public Drunk
DUI
Ran Red Light and DUI
Simple Assault and Public Drunk
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Drunk
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: four accidents, three alarms, two animal complaints, commercial burglary (Hwy 30), residential burglary (CR 178), eight disturbances, five harassments, juvenile complaint, malicious mischief, 14 service calls, seven suspicious activities, transport, two trespassing, four civil matters, four traffic complaints and a follow up.
