With 17:21 remaining the second half of Ole Miss’ win over Tennessee, Senior Rasheed Brooks suffered a seizure near the Rebel bench during a timeout. Brooks was immediately taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. After a scary moment on the court, Brooks is listed as stable and has undergone further testing, Ole Miss Basketball announced via their Twitter account. Ole Miss head coach Andy Kennedy spoke about his condition after the game.
“It’s my understanding he is stable, conscious, but he does not remember anything, and he is still going through tests,” said Kennedy in the post-game press conference. “It was a frightening moment for all of us and our prayers are with him. I turned my back and felt him fall against me, but I thought it was cramps. We were emotionally devastated to see Rasheed suffering, and it was hard for our players to go back out there.”

After the victory, Brooks’ teammates were able to see him at the hospital, and this photo was uploaded to Twitter.

HottyToddy.com will update this story as we receive more information on Brooks’ condition.
