Fire Department Responds to More Burst Water Pipes in Daily Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Thirteen alarms, twelve suspicious activity, auto burglary, two Domestic Disturbance, Uttering Forgery, four Welfare Concerns, Elderly Assist, five Disturbing the Peace, Reported DUI, Petit Larceny, two Improper Parking, two Suspicious Person, Ambulance Assist, Civil Matter, Joyriding, three Motorist Assist, Credit Card Fraud, Harassment.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 65 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Careless Driving and DUI
2 Speeding and DUI
4 Public Drunk
No Driving License, No Proof of Liability Insurance and Warrant Served
Seatbelt Violation, No Proof of Liability Insurance, Driving While License Suspended and Warrant Served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: two accidents, simple assault, six alarms, eight animal complaints, four disturbances, two harassment, three juvenile complaints, ten service calls, seven suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, four transports, two civil matters, house fire, three follow-ups, possible stolen vehicle, traffic complaints.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made six arrests on the following charges
1 DUI refusal
2 warrants (circuit)
1 petit larceny
1 writ to take custody
1 traffic stop arrest
Oxford Fire Department
A smell of gas call; the FD did not find anything at Cato’s.
A smoke detector malfunction at 108 HWy 314.
A heater blower motor belt smoking at Brookdale (100 Azalea Drive).
Someone accidentally hit a pull station fire alarm 31 North 16th Street.
A busted water pipe at Molly Barr Trails Bldg. 3 Apt. 36.
A water flow alarm malfunction at Frazer Hall.
Busted water pipe at Kappa Alpha House
Busted water pipe at Molly Barr Trails Bldg. 1 Apt. 12.
Water leak in the riser room 206 Town Center Drive.
