Oxford police responded to the following calls: 25 Alarms, Auto Burglary – Victory Hill Lane, 16 Suspicious Activities, 6 Disturbances, Malicious Mischief, 3 Welfare Concerns, Littering, 2 Civil Matters, 2 Fire Dept. Assists, House Burglary – South Meadows, Stalking, Shoplifting, 2 Reported DUI’s, Forgery, 911 Hang Up, 2 Animal Complaints, Petit Larceny, 2 Motorist Assists, Domestic Violence and Credit Card Fraud.
Oxford police investigated 12motor vehicle collisions, 32 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charge:
One Headlight & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Post Arrest Citations)
DUI(Wreck)
Ran Stop Sign, Child Endangerment due to driver being DUI, DUI
Simple Assault
2 Domestic Violence
Expired Tag, No Insurance & Suspended Driver’s License
Public Intoxication
Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: 7 accidents, 1 simple assault, 11 alarms, 4 animal complaints, 2 residential burglaries (CR 149, Hwy 30), 11 disturbances, 2 domestic violence, 5 petit larceny, 3 harassment, 1 malicious mischief, 16 service calls, 10 suspicious activities, 1 vandalism, 6 welfare concern, 2 transports, 1 trespassing, 11 civil matters, 6 traffic complaints, 1 house fire, 1 vehicle fire, 2 follow up, 1 recovered stolen credit cards, 1 attempted commercial burglary and 1 credit card fraud.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made following the arrests.

1 aggravated assault (warrant)
1 no driver’s license, no insurance, careless driving
2 domestic violence, simple assault
1 shoplifting
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Testing alarm system on the building at 1111 West Jackson Ave.
Cooking activated a smoke detector at 513 Exbury Drive.
A call cancelled came in for Swetland Cook CPA.
A smell of gas – it was paint thinner from the apt. below at 603 Van Buren.
Steam activated a smoke detector at Captain D’s.
