Live Map, “Night of Lights,” Guides Residents and Visitors Through Christmas Light Displays In Oxford
The Oxford Lafayette-County Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with community volunteers, has created a live map of holiday light decorations and displays in Oxford and Lafayette County.
The Night of Lights, as the self-guided tour is named, went live on Dec. 9 and will stay active and updated daily until Dec. 27. Residents and visitors can access the map, click on one of the Night of Lights icons, and will then be guided to a house, building or business with a holiday light display.
“We believe this is something that people will be excited about, not only locally, but will also bring people in from out of town,” said Pam Swain, senior vice president of the Oxford Lafayette-County Chamber of Commerce. “We decided to do this event because we feel like this is something that people are already doing. This will give a format for people to come in and see those homes.”
For more information or to register to be a part of the tour, call 662-234-4651 or email deckthehalls@oxford.ms. The map can be accessed at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CdG1xY295YD8yAFJ85q0of3L14U&usp=sharing
