Graphene will enable flexible electronics such as this thin display screen or TVs that can be rolled up. Oxford

GrapheneEntrepreneur.com recently reported that engineers have created a prototype microchip just three atoms thick . . . from the revolutionary newly discovered material, graphene. Microchips made of silicon have long revolutionized our world.

Grapheneentrepreneur.com is the latest venture of Oxford, Mississippi’s New Media Lab LLC, parent company of HottyToddy.com. Readers who want to see the future of technology might want to tune into GrapheneEntreprenuer.com. The site is dedicated to the bringing readers all of the latest news on the technology that could shape the future.

As semiconductors have become smaller and smaller, so have devices that we use every day. But graphene will allow those devices to get even smaller. But, graphene is not really a semiconductor, nor is it an insulator or a conductor. All of these materials have what is called a “band-gap,” while Graphene is “zero gap,” making it the most conductive material in the world.

“This report from a nanophysics website is a signal event that will usher in a new generation of products now driven by silicon. The ‘engines’ of tomorrow will run on graphene, a material that is just one atom thick,” said Dr. Ed Meek, president of New Media Lab LLC.

“Just imagine how small a computer could be that is run by chips three atoms thick? This technology is going to change the world, and GrapheneEntreprenuer.com will become the landing place for ideas, innovation, and investment,” Meek said.

“The technology is far over my head, but I can envision the impact of this product which many people feel will change the world. And we are excited that the Ole Miss School of Engineering is a national leader in this development,” he said.

New Media Lab LLC is an Oxford-based digital media company and think-tank, and the parent company of HottyToddy.com. GrapheneEnrepreneur.com is one of New Media Lab’s companies and is a global portal for the development of graphene and the endless possibilities it may present.

“We invite the nearly 2,000,000 readers of HottyToddy.com to trace graphene with us. Just go to GrapheneEntrepreneur.com and sign up for updates that will be delivered to your inbox. To be perfectly honest, I don’t understand the technical details, when I see a proposed house with no heater that is heated solely by graphene paint, I am fascinated, “ Dr. Meek said.

“Graphene is going to be an enormous market rich with entrepreneurial and investment opportunities,” he added.
