Oxford police responded to the following calls: Four alarms, two suspicious persons, one domestic violence, three welfare concerns, two disturbing the peace, one simple assault, four suspicious activities, two report of lost property, two malicious mischief, one animal complaint, two motorist assist, one ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated 15 motor vehicle collisions, 26 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charge:
Public Drunk
No Headlights, Failure to Yield, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI
Domestic Violence-Simple Assault
Seatbelt Violation and Driving While License Suspended
Seatbelt Violation, Driving While License Suspended and Warrant Served
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Two alarms, two animal complaints, one residential burglary (Hwy 6 W), one disturbance, two petit larceny, one juvenile complaint, five service calls, four suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, three transports, two trespassing, two civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made three arrest on the following charges:
One petit larceny
One simple assault
One contempt warrant
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
A smoke detector malfunction at the South Residential College in room 321.
A wreck behind a fire truck happened at 1931 University arena and stood by for ambulance.
A heavy spray of hair spray activated the smoke detector at the Kappa Delta house room six.
University police responded to the following incidents: Three vehicle stops, service call to the Pavilion where the ambulance was needed, one suspicious vehicle at the women’s softball field, an accident of hit and run, disturbance call.
