Oxford police responded to the following calls: One civil matter, one motorist assist, two code violation, one disturbing the peace, four alarms, two shoplifting, one ambulance assist, one 9-1-1 hang-up, four fire department assists, one suspicious person, one recovered property, one improper parking, report of lost property.
Oxford police investigated Five motor vehicle collisions, 34 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charge::

Domestic Violence-Simple Assault
No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI (wreck)
Public Drunk and Minor in Possession of Alcohol
Ran Red Light and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, one simple assault, five alarms, one animal complaint, three disturbances, one harassment, eight service calls, five suspicious activities, three transports, three civil matters, two ID theft, one unauthorized use of vehicle, one follow-up.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Employees at the Super 8 Motel activated the fire alarm pull stations to evacuate the building for other reasons at 8:03 a.am.
Smoke alarm malfunction at 2998 Old Taylor Road at 2:06 p.m.
A resident had put a pot of something on the stove then left the building – a pot of something burned and smoke up the apt at Northgate A105 at 3:33 p.m.
A trash can in front of First National Bank was smoking at 12:11 p.m.
Workers accidentally activated the fire alarm at Coyote Blues 1200 Merchants Drive at 2:33 p.m.
Outside lights in front of store shorted out at Chevron 502 South Lamar at 7:02 p.m.
A smell of gas – no smell of gas detected at the Oxford Conference Center area at 7:46 p.m.
A hair dryer and hair care products activated the smoke detector at the Phi Mu house room six at 6:01 a.m.
University police responded to the following incidents: EMS requested due to intoxicated person at the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, petit larceny at the Turner Center, motor vehicle accident on Hathorn Road, two-vehicle stops (Fraternity Row and Rebel Drive), suspicious person, assist with traffic.
