Crime Report: November 14, 2016
Oxford police responded to the following calls: One suspicious activity, six alarms, one malicious mischief, one reported DUI, two suspicious persons, two ambulance assists, one motorist assist, one tespassing, two 9-1-1 hangup calls, two welfare concerns, a report of lost porperty, disturbing the peace and petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated Five motor vehicle collisions, 18 traffic citations and made no arrests.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, two alarms, one commercial burglary, one residential burglary (CR 149), one disturbance, one domestic violence, one juvenile complaint, 12 service calls, two follow-up, one welfare concern, one scam, one transport.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrest on the following charge:
Domestic violence/Simple assault
University police responded to the following incidents: Public drunk at the Pavilion at Ole Miss, bicycle larceny at Residence Hall 2, harassing telephone call at the Beta Theta Pi house, three vehicle stops and a traffic assistant.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smell of smoke 2201 Jackson Ave
Smoke alarm activated apt 13 Jackson Ave
Burned food at 223 Sorority Row Apt. A
