Rodney Claxton is the owner of the 11-year-old small business, Rodney Claxton Designs Birdhouses. Claxton designs and builds handcrafted, functional birdhouses that house bluebirds, wrens, and chickadees. He often uses new and reclaimed materials in his work. For example, tin from a torn down farmhouse in Madison, MS, is being used for roofs on many of the birdhouses.

Rodney Claxton Designs Birdhouses participates in several Arts and Crafts Shows throughout the southeast including Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana. However, most of the showings are in Mississippi. He does several shows at the Trade Mart in Jackson including The Patio and Garden Show and Handworks. Claxton also sells at the May and October Canton Flea Market, but his best and largest show is in Oxford, Mississippi at The Double Decker Festival.

Rodney Claxton is a member of the Mississippi Nursery and Landscaping Association. His birdhouses have been featured stories in The Clarion-Ledger, The Daily Journal, and The Oxford Citizen.

Red Lizard Farms, Rosemark, TN
Red Lizard is the collaboration of two sisters who are passionate about their families, the environment, the humane treatment of animals, and organic food grown on their farms. Eventually, their passion extended to natural cleaners and personal products that were safe for every family member. The desire for all natural products led these sisters to create Red Lizard Farms, a family-owned business operated from the farms of each one. Their objective is to offer quality, handcrafted bath and beauty products made from safe, natural ingredients that do not hurt the environment and are never tested on animals. The products are non-toxic, safe for the body, good for the skin, and the ingredients are readily identified.
