I am sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Ron Borne. I fondly remember visiting 0le Miss and giving a lecture in the Pharmacy school. I also fondly remember all the conversations and help that I had with Ron when we were both students at KU. He will be sorely missed.

I loved this man. His help and encouragement as I finished my doctoral program in Medicinal Chemistry was invaluable. At a reunion just two weeks ago I was able with deep emotion to express this to him personally. His legacy will long endure because of his heart for teaching, his devotion to his students and to the University that he loved. I am a better person for having known him. He cast a large shadow and he will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
