Northwest’s Three-Peat: Ivy Cook Named MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week
For the second straight week and the third time this season, Northwest Mississippi Community College freshman Ivy Cook has been selected the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Northwest is coming off a scoreless double overtime draw at north division rival Itawamba last week where Cook earned a career-high 17 saves, including 10 in the first half alone.
A product of Kirk Academy, Cook’s season saves total is now up to 56 through six matches, 12th in the NJCAA, with an .824 save percentage.
Cook and the Lady Rangers (1-4-1, 0-3-1 MACJC) will return to action on Friday, Sept. 23 by playing host to Southwest Mississippi. First kick is scheduled for 1 p.m.
