Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three alarms, four reported DUI drivers, public drunk, two complaints of lost property, noise violation, two animal complaints, returned property, three welfare concerns, disorderly conduct, three suspicious activities, two littering, scam, civil matter, two code violations – building violation and parking violation, two 911 hang ups, harassing phone call, credit card fraud, improper parking, credit card fraud, disturbing the peace
Oxford police investigated Nine wrecks, issued 19 traffic citations, and made three arrests on the following charges:
Careless driving and DUI
Careless driving, no liability insurance and DUI
Domestic violence
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, three alarms, animal complaint, auto burglary, six disturbances, two petit larceny, juvenile complaint, malicious mischief, four service calls, two suspicious activities, five welfare concerns, scam, transport, follow up
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made five arrests on the following charges:
Simple assault, harassing phone calls warrant
Contempt warrant
Trespass warrant
Disturbing the peace
Writ to take custody
University police responded to the following incidents: Four vehicle stops, larceny – bicycles at Sally McConnell-Barksdale Honors College, two assists with traffic, motor vehicle accident at National Food Serv. Mgmt. Institute
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Alarm malfunction at 7:29 a.m. at Ear, Nose and Throat
Cancelled call at 3:20 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church
Smoke detector malfunction at 9:09 p.m. at Robert Khayat Law Center
