Bramlett Elementary in Oxford is hosting a special back-to-school night on Tuesday, August 30, designed to encourage parent involvement.

The event will take place at 225 Bramlett Boulevard and will give parents ideas on how they can become involved in their child’s education.

“Our youngest school students’ educational story starts at Bramlett,” BES Principal Suzanne Ryals said. “We hope our parents will embrace this opportunity to see how important their involvement in our school is to their child’s academic success, not just this school year, but throughout their time in our school district.”

At 5 p.m., The BES PTO will host a “Get to Know the PTO” event so that parents can learn how to get involved in planned school activities along with information about joining the PTO if they so choose.

At 5:30 p.m., kindergarten and first-grade classrooms will host one-on-one meetings with teachers and parents where they can visit topics together including the upcoming school year, activities, classroom procedures and ways parents can help their children.

School officials say childcare will not be provided during the back-to-school event. For more information on the back-to-school event, call Bramlett Elementary School at (662) 234-2685 or visit the school online at www.oxfordsd.org/BES.
