Oxford police responded to the following calls: Civil matter, 12 disturbances, six suspicious activities, simple assault, three 911 hangups, three welfare concerns, two ambulance assists, reported DUI driver, burglary on South 11th Street, two Fire Department assists, harassing phone calls, malicious mischief, two alarms and a motorist assist
Oxford police investigated Eight wrecks, issued eight traffic citations, and made eight arrests on the following charges:

Failure to dim headlights, possession of drug paraphernalia
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Three alarms, residential burglary on County Road 230, disturbance, petit larceny, three service calls, two suspicious activities, welfare concern, two scams, two transports, trespassing, civil matter and information
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrest on the following charges:
Resisting arrest, disorderly conduct
University police responded to the following incidents: Four vehicle stops, one moving violation per improper equipment, malicious mischief, vehicle accident – Hit and Run – at Lucky Day Residential College, larceny at the Turner Center
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector malfunction at 12:30 a.m. on 10th floor of Crosby Hall
Water flow alarm activation at 9:09 a.m. due to testing the sprinkler system at Walmart
Heat detector activation at 3:26 p.m. due to workers in the kitchen at First Presbyterian Church
Smoke detector activation at 5:02 p.m. due to cooking at Canterbury Crest #115
Call cancelled en route to Baptist Memorial Hospital at 5:49 p.m.
Female stuck in an elevator at 10:30 p.m. at 291 Rebel Drive
