Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, two disturbances, two reported DUI drivers, noise violations, an alarm, a welfare concern, a motorist assist and a civil matter.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, 33 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Public intoxication
Careless driving and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: three disturbances, three welfare concerns, two alarms, two petit larcenies, two harassments, two service calls, a domestic violence, a juvenile complaint, a suspicious activity, a trespassing and a fraud.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made two arrests on the following charges:
Domestic violence and a warrant from Yalobusha County
Harassing phone calls, simple assault and a bench warrant
University police responded to the following incidents: nine vehicle stops and a speeding on Intramural Field Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 9:34 a.m. when residents sprayed Febreze heavily at Stewart Hall 213
Smoke detector activation at 7:22 p.m. due to burned popcorn at Brown Hall 134
