Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, June 14 – Scam, Peeping Tom
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three suspicious activities, two animal complaints, two welfare concerns, two fire department assists, two illegally parked cars, a scam, a disturbance, a public intoxication, an alarm, a 911 hang up call, a shoplifting, a burglary at McLarty Road, a shoplifting, a lost property, and harassing phone calls.
Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 17 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges:
Public intoxication
Suspended driver’s license and DUI
Expired tag, suspended driver’s license and warrant served
University police department responded to the following incidents: a peeping tom at Turner Center and a vehicle accident at Old Athletics.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Alarm at 11:01 a.m. due to burned food in the microwave at Townhouse Suites by Marriott
Fire alarm pull station malfunction at 11:55 a.m. at The Domain (located 2002 Oxford Way)
Alarm at 1:13 p.m. due to burned food at Canterbury Crest #215
Cancelled call at 1:45 p.m. at National Center for Research of Natural Products
Tamper switch malfunction at 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church
