Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, June 2 – Embezzling, Grand Larceny
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, three alarms, two motorist assists, two embezzlements, two illegally parked cars, two 911 hang up calls, two careless drivers, a disturbance, an animal complaint, a welfare concern, a grand larceny and a scam.
Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 36 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:
(2) Possession of marijuana
Public intoxication
Careless driving and DUI
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Careless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia
Careless driving, suspended driver’s license, no insurance and DUI
No seatbelt, possession of Schedule II and IV Narcotics and possession of marijuana
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops on the Intramural Field Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Cancelled call at 11:32 a.m. at 1801 West Jackson Avenue
Public assistance at 7:32 p.m. at 549 North 9th Street
