Entire slate of new Ole Miss ASB officers affirm their acceptance in Tuesday Lyceum ceremony

Led by Ole Miss Trent Lott Public Policy major Gregory Alston, the entire slate of new Ole Miss ASB officers took their oaths of office on Tuesday afternoon in a swearing in ceremony at the Lyceum.
The 2:30 p.m. ceremony included a welcome by Associate Dean of Students Melinda Carlson, remarks by Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones and the oath of office ceremony itself, administered by Wil Yerger, the 2012 SPB Director, and 2012 ASP President Kimberly Dandridge.
Alston, a Hattisburg native and a senior Trent Lott Public Policy major at The University, was joined at the ceremony  by new ASB Vice President Morgan Gregory, Secretary Allie Winters, Treasurer Carlson Rutledge, Attorney General Rob Pillow and Harrison Crabtree, the newly elected judicial council chair.
A senior staff member of Ms American Legion Boys state and a campus senator, Alston told HottyToddy.com that he has two main goals for his term as ASB president at Ole Miss.
“I’m sure y’all have heard me talk about the Flex, Â this athletic event. Â that would be great for students and the athletic department.”
Another of Alston’s goals is the establishment of  a Creed Week to promote stability on campus.
“Primarily to incoming freshmen who come in the fall, to teach them to be kind and respectful to each other.”
After what he described as a stressful campaign for ASB president –– one that that his campaign team helped him get through –– Alston said he is looking forward to the summer, when he’ll be interning for Senator Roger Wicker in Washington D.C.

it was stressful but I had a campaign team that made it a lot of fun so it was def one of the hardest things I have ever done
