Oxford Native Sells Artwork in Mooresville, North Carolina Today

This afternoon, April 10, from 3 to 5 p.m., 18-year-old Lucas Yates will have an art exhibit in his home in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Lucas lived in Oxford from 1998 to 2014.

According to his mother, Misty Leigh Phillips, Lucas has a life threating condition. He has been granted a visit with Stan Lee by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Lucas has been inspired in his art by his love of the work of Oxford’s Jere Allen and Glenray Tutor. He has won a gold key award and a silver from Scholastics Art and Writing. He was born and raised in Oxford.
