Ole Miss offensive lineman Roderick Taylor was arrested Sunday on suspicion of shoplifting, Daniel Paulling of The Clarion-Ledger reported.

“We are gathering facts on the matter, and if appropriate, we will address it accordingly with Rod internally,” coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement, per Paulling.

Taylor reportedly failed to pay for two bags of charcoal that had been placed underneath his shopping cart while going through a self-checkout line, according to Paulling. A source toldThe Clarion-Ledger that it was an accident and that Taylor would have to go to court and pay the amount for the charcoal, approximately $40, before the charges would be thrown out.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound guard played in 10 games in 2015 but dealt with a separated shoulder that required surgery this offseason. He is expected to battle for a starting spot along the Rebels’ offensive line, which replaces five big contributors.
