“This year’s Miss-I-Sippin’ is different than past years,” Wayne Andrews, Executive Director of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council explained. “We have partnered with the Mississippi Brewers Guild to make this a statewide event. It will now be a full weekend of activities rather than a one-day festival and we think Oxford is a great community to bring people together when talking about beer and food.”

The two-day event will begin Friday, April 1, at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center with the Brewer’s Dinner in which guests may purchase tickets to sit with different craft brewers from across the state and a secret guest chef will provide a meal that complements the featured beers.

The following day (Saturday, April 2), guests will enjoy beer and food from various food trucks as well as local art and music from noon-6 p.m. at the Old Armory Pavilion on University Avenue.

Ticket prices for members of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council include a discount, paying only $25 for Saturday’s festival or $75 to attend the Friday night Brewer’s Dinner and the festivities on Saturday.

YAC also wants to remind the public that tickets are limited for the Brewer’s Dinner on Friday night.

Miss-I-Sippin’ is the official festival of the Mississippi Brewer’s Guild and Oxford’s original craft beer festival. All proceeds will benefit the Yoknapawtapha Arts Council and the Mississippi Craft Brewer’s Guild.
