Followers Respond to Joe Garagiola’s Death
Last Thursday, HottyToddy.com featured a short tribute to Joe Garagiola, the gregarious MLB catcher and witty broadcast personality who died on Wednesday, March 24 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Several HottyToddy.com followers sent notes of thanks for the tribute, one of which stood out in a big way.
Ole Miss alumn, Terry Ewert (class of 1973) sent the following note via email over the weekend: “I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your article about Joe Garagiola in HottyToddy.com. Back in the day, I got a chance to work with Joe G. quite a bit at NBC Sports on the Game of the Week. He was an amazing broadcaster, and an even more amazing and caring individual. I’ve attached a couple of photos of us working together.”
Thank you, Terry. We appreciate you following us and taking the time to respond to the heartfelt tribute. Without a doubt, there are many folks across the globe who are still in mourning over the loss of the American baseball icon. Not to mention, it’s not everyday that we get to post two awesome members of Cooperstown in the same photo. Wow!
