Mississippi American Idol Contestants Make Top 4, Coming Home for Concert

La’Porsha Renae, McComb native, and Trent Harmon, Amory native, moved into the top 4 on American Idol last night, and are coming home to Mississippi this weekend for concerts.

The two Mississippi natives will travel back to Amory and McComb to preform concerts for the two communities.

La’Porsha will preform on Saturday, March 26, at 5 p.m. at McComb High School football field.

La’Porsha is known for her powerful voice and stage presence. In the video below, she sings Mary J. Bilge’s “No More Drama” and moves Jennifer Lopez to tears.

Trent will preform on Saturday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at Panther Stadium in Amory. Fans have created a Facebook page for the event. Trent will arrive in Amory at 11 a.m. A parade in his honor is scheduled for 3 p.m., followed by the free concert.

Trent is known for his unique voice and high pitches. In the video below, he thoroughly impressed the judges with his version of “Sharp Dressed Man.”
