Oxford Crime Report: Monday, March 14
Robert Dees – DUI third offense
On Sunday, March 13, the Oxford police department arrested Robert Dees (49 years old, of Nesbit, Mississippi) for DUI 3rd offense. Dees was given a bond of $2,500.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five suspicious people/vehicles, five disturbances, four welfare concerns, three alarms, three careless driving, two motorist assists, a lost property and a fire department assist.
Oxford police investigated two wrecks, 19 citations and made five arrests on the following charges:
Public drunk
Improper lane usage, careless driving
Discharging fireworks inside city limits
Reckless driving, no tag, failure to yield to blue lights, DUI first degree
No driver’s license, no use of turn signal and possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents: seven vehicle stops.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Sprinkler activation at 4:48 p.m. due to a malfunction at Molly Barr Trails – Building No. 3
Smoke detector malfunction at 9:56 p.m. at Northgate B107
