Omega Phi Alpha Raises Money to Benefit Multiple Sclerosis
Omega Phi Alpha is a service sorority at the University of Mississippi that strives to benefit the campus and the Oxford community.
They are currently fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis with a mission to raise $1,000. The fundraiser will benefit people who are undergoing Multiple Sclerosis and help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
They will be hosting a banquet to fundraise money. The tickets will be $13 a person and food will be served.
The tickets will be raffled for door prizes throughout the night. There will be live music and dancing for the night’s entertainment. Mary Alexander will be the guest speaker.
Jasmyn Brown is a senior at Ole Miss and member of Omega Phi Alpha Sorority.
“This banquet will not only be a great way to educate but it also is good to be aware of this condition and make a difference,” Brown said.
This event is open to public for people who would like to support this cause. The banquet will be held March 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Jackson Avenue Center.
For those interested in buying tickets can contact Yasmin Glover, the president of Omega Phi Alpha at pres.alphabeta@gmail.com or Jasmyn Brown at jkbrown3@go.olemiss.edu. Those who intend to donate may click on this link.
