Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, February 23
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 10 alarms, five suspicious activities, three disturbances, an improper parking, a motorist assist and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 13 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting and possession of Schedule II narcotics
Possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule IV narcotics
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a traffic detail at Ford Center, a vehicle accident with pedestrian injury at the Union, a vehicle accident on West Road, a vehicle accident in Big Valley Lot, and a grand larceny of more than $1,000 value at Stockard Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 9:55 a.m. due to shower steam at Pittman Hall
Smoke detector activation at 8:01 p.m. due to e-cigarettes at Brown Hall
