Taste of Oxford Raises Money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
The ninth annual Taste of Oxford to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was held yesterday at the Library Bar and Grill in Oxford, Mississippi.
Presented by Regions Bank, a live and silent auction was held to raise money for the continuing life saving efforts of St. Jude. A two night stay at the Graduate, a 2014 piece of goal post signed by Hugh Freeze, two Ole Miss versus MSU basketball tickets and a trip to New York were among prizes up for bid. A host of various Oxford restaurants were set up in different areas of the Library for guest to visit and try different styles of foods.
As guest arrived and checked in, they were given a hand painted wine glass. Each glass looked different because the glasses were painted by patients of St. Jude. Some glasses had designs with colorful drawings and some had words and solid colors.
Cocktails were served to the V.I.P. sponsors at 6 p.m., while more guest arrived at 7 p.m. The event was emceed by Richard Cross and hosted by Peter Costa. Live music was provided by The Party Planet band on stage in front of a large crowd of some of Oxford’s finest residents.
Sponsorship opportunities allowed for the event to raise even more money for St. Jude.

I wonder if they would have made more money if HottyToddy mentioned the event BEFORE it happened. If a reporter and photographer were dispatched to the event, someone knew in advance…
