Ole Miss Volleyball Signees Named High School All-Americans
A trio of Ole Miss volleyball signees were recently recognized by PrepVolleyball.com for their outstanding 2015 seasons on the court.
A 5-9 setter, Jordan Fate (Fairview, Texas) was one of 150 players named to the All-American list for the second year in a row. Fate was also named an AVCA Under Armour Honorable Mention All-American in 2015. She concluded her high school career earning Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State honors for the second year in a row and being named to the State All-Tournament Team in 2015, after leading Lovejoy High School to a runner-up finish in the Texas State High School 5A Championships.
PrepVolleyball.com also included honorable mention honors, which listed Kansas natives Emily Engelken and Nicole Purcell.
Engelken, a 6-0 outside/right side hitter from Overland Park, Kansas, helped lead Blue Valley West High School to the 6A State Championship in 2015 and a final record of 40-4. She was named to the 6A All-State First Team.
Purcell, a 5-9 defensive specialist from Leawood, Kansas, helped lead Bishop Miege High School to their third consecutive state title in 2015. She was named to the All-State Tournament Team as well as a 4A Division I All-State First Team selection.
