Amy Moss – Uttering Forgery
On Tuesday, January 5, Oxford police arrested Amy Moss(45 of Southaven, Mississippi) for Uttering Forgery. Moss forged a $4,950 check at Pay Master. Moss was given a bond of $2,500.
Michael Hunter – Uttering Forgery
On Thursday January 7, Oxford police investigators served a warrant for arrest to Michael G. Hunter (40 of Thaxton, Mississippi) for Uttering Forgery. A victim signed charges on Hunter for forging six checks and cashing them in the person’s name. The amount totaled $1,850, and Hunter’s bond was set at $5,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, three petit larcenies, two noise violations, two motorist assists, two careless driving, a disturbance, a suspicious activity, a 911 hang-up call, a welfare concern, an animal complaint, a lost property, a scam and a burglary on Clubhouse Drive.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges:

Possession of drug paraphernalia
Public intoxication and fake ID
Careless driving and DUI
Warrant served
University police responded to the following incidents: seven traffic assists, and an assault at Campus Walk.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
A wreck with entrapment at 1:20 p.m. on Highway 30 at CR 2015
Stove fire at 1:32 a.m. (Friday morning) at 809 Clearbrook Road
