41. Steak ‘n Shake, Raising Cane’s to Open in Ole Miss Pavilion for New Dining Options
Ole Miss Dining/Aramark is proud to announce that Steak ‘n Shake and Raising Cane’s will be coming to the University of Mississippi campus. The new restaurants will be part of the Pavilion at Ole Miss set to open in January of 2016.
The new locations will reside inside the North entrance of the pavilion. The restaurants will maintain regular business hours during the week and will be part of the concession offerings during athletic and special events. Both locations will accept Flex Dollars and meal plans with a Plus 1.
Founded in 1934, Steak ‘n Shake is the pioneer of the “better burger” segment of the restaurant industry. With a highly anticipated debut for the spring semester of 2016, students and basketball fans will be able to enjoy Steak ‘n Shake’s famous Original Steakburger™ and award-winning Milk Shakes, among other delicious menu items.
The new, contemporary Steak ‘n Shake restaurant displays a counter-service-only model with a simple menu consisting of only the freshest ingredients, and serving its famous hand-crafted real-steak Steakburgers, thin ‘n crispy shoestring french fries and hand-dipped real-milk milk shakes.
“We are thrilled about Steak ’n Shake’s presence in the Pavilion at Ole Miss,” said Ross Bjork, Director of Athletics. “After extensive research, especially among students, the Steak ’n Shake brand was clearly a perfect fit.”
Founded in 1996, Raising Cane’s is known for their signature chicken fingers, prepared with fresh, never-frozen chicken that is fried to order after being hand-dipped in batter, flour and signature seasonings.
“At Cane’s we’re all about one love – chicken finger meals,” states Todd Graves, Founder and CEO of Raising Canes. “We’re committed to serving the highest quality chicken finger meals as fast as we can, in a friendly, clean restaurant,”
“We are very excited to add a Steak ‘n Shake and Raising Cane’s to our campus portfolio and offer students and faculty this unique meal option,” says Chip Burr, Food Service Director for Ole Miss Dining/Aramark. “We believe the new additions to campus dining will be a popular choice among students, staff and Rebel fans.”
“We have a tremendous amount of excitement about bringing these restaurants to campus and expanding our partnership with Ole Miss Athletics,” says Richard Bradley, Marketing Manager for Ole Miss Dining/Aramark. “We want the Pavilion at Ole Miss to be an inviting new place for students to hang out while on campus and reduce some of the overcrowding that is currently experienced at the Student Union Food Court.”
Students can also look forward to a new Starbucks location that will be opening in August inside the newly renovated Coulter Hall.
