Oxford Film Festival Holiday Party Introduces Change
The Oxford Film Festival held its first holiday party at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Vance on Sunday, Dec. 7. The party served as a final fundraiser for the 2016 festival to be held Feb. 17-21, 2016.
The festival has grown this year with the addition of a new board of directors and full-time executive director as well as adding more films, panels, parties and monthly programming.
Heavy appetizers from Rib Cage were served as well as a chocolate fountain by Holli’s Sweet Tooth. The holiday band 34th Street performed. After the party, attendees received an Oxford Film Festival holiday ornament as a thank you for supporting the non-profit.
“We wanted to do something special for our sponsors, programmers and supporters this year,” Executive Director Melanie Addington said. “We hope to make this a tradition to celebrate the holidays with our friends.”The festival party also served as a launch to announce the films for the 2016 festival.
Festivalgoers in attendance were able to see trailers and learn about special screenings. A full public announcement will be made soon.
