Vassallo: Rebels Rise to Seventh in National Poll
The Ole Miss Rebels are now seventh in the ESPN Football Power Index.
Only Oklahoma, Baylor, Alabama, Ohio State, TCU and Clemson are ranked higher. Here’s a recap of the SEC teams that are currently in the Top 25 in any of the four major rankings:
With the Rebels facing another Top 25 opponent this week in Starkville, eight bowl bound teams were included on the Rebs’ 2015 schedule with five wins to date. There are still a number of bowls as possibilities for this exciting, high scoring Ole Miss team with the Sugar as the highest potential option.
Following are the Citrus, Outback, Texas and TaxSlayer. Because of the significance of the upcoming game with the Bulldogs, the uncertainty as to the ultimate invitation will linger for another week.
