Ole Miss’ Delta Gamma Sorority Wins Theta Encore 2015
Last night, the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority’s annual Theta Encore yielded yet another festive competition with Delta Gamma sorority winning first place.
The Epsilon Zeta chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta holds this charitable event every year to benefit the sorority’s philanthropies: CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the Scarlet Lawrence Akins Foundation.
The Delta Gamma – Alpha Psi chapter’s pledge class won the competition with its themed dance: Apps.
Delta Gamma started with the alarm clock to pop off the dance. Vine, Tinder, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram were all personified in this winsome dance. Even BlackBoard, an app that university students use to view assignments and grades, was represented.
Phi Mu placed second with a whimsical dance consisting of lambs, dolls and child play. See the video on the Phi Mu – Alpha Delta’s Facebook.
Kappa Delta – Alpha Mu chapter placed third place with an Ole Miss themed dance featuring the landsharks, cheerleaders and all things Ole Miss football.
