Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.51.41 PMThe Ole Miss Student Alumni Council encourages all Ole Miss students to attend “Bridging The Gap” at the Inn at Ole Miss ballroom today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ole Miss will be bringing successful alumni to encourage students in his or her field of study. According to the Ole Miss Student Alumni Council Facebook page, students need to be there for networking opportunities, setting benchmarks for success and to receive career advice from Ole Miss’ top alumni.

Panelists include Bradford Cobb, Kelly Wynne Ferguson, Rose Jackson Flenorl, Patrick Krutz and Robert K. Upchurch.

Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.18.44 PMBradford Cobb graduated from the University in 1996 with an English major and minor in business. He is currently a partner at Direct Management Group, an internationally successful music management company based in Los Angeles, California. He has received many accolades including Billboard’s Power 100 list earlier this year. Some of his most known clients include the Go-Go’s and Katy Perry.

Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.18.23 PMKelly Wynne Ferguson is a 2009 graduate of Ole Miss with a major in studio art, focused on graphic design and a minor in mass media communications. In the spring of 2012, she began to pursue her dream of designing handbags. She was awarded Rising Fashion Star during last year’s Austin Fashion Week. With the continued growth and love for the brand across the nation, Kelly continues to inspire women to dare to be fabulous.

Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.18.12 PMRose Flenorl Jackson graduated from the university in 1979 majoring in journalism and English. While at Ole Miss, she was the first black woman inducted into the Ole Miss Hall of Fame and was noted as Glamour Magazine’s Top Ten Female Graduates in the United States. She has served the Alumni Association as the first black president. She is currently in her eleventh year at Fed Ex, where she is the manager of social responsibility.

Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.18.00 PMPatrick Krutz grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated from the University in 2001. After graduating he went on a hiatus that started in Fiji and, through many countries along the way, ended the summer of ’02 in Carmel, California. Here his journey into wine began. While working at his day job at The Cheese Shop in Carmel, he was also getting his feet (up to his thighs) wet at night and on days off in grapes. He has been honing and fine-tuning his trade as each vintage passes since 2003. He and his wife Rebecca currently live in Novato, California, where they have 3 children. Patrick is always eager and willing to watch any Ole Miss sporting event over any fermented adult beverage with anyone interested.

Screen Shot 2015-11-06 at 1.18.32 PMRobert Upchurch graduated from Provine High School in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1960. He then attended Ole Miss on an athletic scholarship and played football from 1961-1963. He married his wife, Joann, in 1964. He graduated from law school in 1966 and moved to Tupelo where he entered the private practice of law. He is currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he has been a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He has served as president of the M Club and has been a member of the alumni board of directors.

All students are encouraged to attend the panel. Refreshments will follow.
