Brad Paisley, Ole Miss Mascot Take Over the 2015 CMA Awards

Last night, the 49th Annual Country Music Awards were hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood in Nashville, Tennessee. Among performances from country music’s biggest stars, Brad Paisley preformed his latest hit “Country Nation”. The song is basically a college football anthem, mentioning several college football teams and football game traditions. Last night, as Paisley rocked out on stage, dozens of college football mascots danced behind him in support of their teams, including Rebel Bear. Way to represent Ole Miss!
The Ole Miss Rebels are also mentioned in Paisley’s song:
“We’re Mountaineers, we’re Volunteers
Blue Devils, Heels and REBELS
Fighting Irish and Cavaliers
We soup up our Chevrolets
Cheer 24 and 88

It was a sad day when the mascot was changed to a bear. Col Rebel forever. The new mascot is nothing but the subject of jokes and rude comments.

I almost died when I saw that Stupid Black Bear on the CMA awards. Was sooooooo out of place with the other mascots. Col.Reb would have looked sooo much better.

What a shame that PC elements of society have had such an impact on such a storied program .. Rebel bear indeed.
